Mycenae & Nafplio: Day 10

There may be no better way to communicate what we do than through images. As you browse our site, take a few moments to let your eyes linger here, and see if you can get a feel for our signature touch.

01

First Capital

Nafplio was the first capital of Greece! The legendary founder of the town is Nafplios, the son of Poseidon.

02

Unfortunate Politics

The first governor of Nafplio, Ioannis Kapodistrias was fatally shot in front of a church by his political enemies. The bullet hole can still be seen today.

03

Castle In The Sea

If you look out from the harbor, you will see a castle standing in the middle of the bay, seemingly upon nothing. This fortress was built by the Venetian's in the 15th century in the shape of a hexagon to match the shape of the land to defend the port.
